Statement of Faith

Parson Place Press holds to the foundational, orthodox, Judeo-Christian beliefs and teachings of The Holy Bible. The founder and managing editor accepts the canonized Bible as the God-breathed (or Divinely inspired) Word of God (read 2 Timothy 3:16). By "canonized Bible" is meant the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments which were approved by the early Church as the genuine Word of God -- nothing more and nothing less. No other writings are accepted as Divinely inspired and therefore do not have the force of authority that the canonized Bible has. Therefore, only The Holy Bible is the final authority for answering all theological and spiritual questions or resolving all theological and spiritual quandaries. If the Bible approves of something, then it is approved by God. If the Bible disapproves of anything, then it is disapproved by God. It's just that simple.

If after reading this statement of faith you still feel you need clarification on any particular issue before you submit your book proposal, email the managing editor at with your question(s). He'll be happy to give you an answer, but he will not debate anyone over any one position. If you disagree with this stance, that is your prerogative, but it is also the managing editor's prerogative to publish what he deems appropriate. As John Wesley said, "That which does not strike at the root of Christianity, we think and let think.... [but] If your heart is as my heart, give me your hand.... [because] I am a man of one Book.... [He meant the Bible, of course.]"
