Statement of Faith

At Parson Place Press, we hold to the foundational, orthodox, Judeo-Christian beliefs and teachings of The Holy Bible. We accept the canonized Bible as the God-breathed (or Divinely inspired) Word of God (read 2 Timothy 3:16). By "canonized Bible", we mean the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments which were approved by the early Church as the genuine Word of God -- nothing more and nothing less. No other writings are accepted as Divinely inspired and therefore do not have the force of authority that the canonized Bible has. Therefore, we hold that only The Holy Bible is the final authority for answering all theological and spiritual questions or resolving all theological and spiritual quandaries. If the Bible approves of something, then we accept it as approved by God. If the Bible disapproves of anything, then we accept it as disapproved by God. It's just that simple.

If after reading this statement of faith you still feel you need clarification on any particular issue before you submit your book proposal, email us at info @ parsonplacepress.com with your question(s). We'll be happy to give you an answer, but we will not debate anyone over any one position. If you disagree with our stance, that is your prerogative, but it is also our prerogative to publish what we deem appropriate. As John Wesley said, "That which does not strike at the root of Christianity, we think and let think.... [but] If your heart is as my heart, give me your hand.... [because] I am a man of one Book.... [He meant the Bible, of course.]"
